"Oklahoma"

Well, this week has been a CRAZY week, so I appolagize for not blogging. I'm back to work again (although I only have 3 weeks left now). It's kinda been hard getting back into the work mode, but hopefully next week will be better. I have been involved in a musical at the 1st United Methodist Church of Mansfield. In the musical there are mostly Methodist and Baptist people, but I think it was a little more mixed in the orchestra. We had practices Monday and Wednesday, a dress rehearsal Thursday, and performances last night, this afternoon and tonight. On Monday and Wednesday the practices started at 6 and I got off of work at 5, so I had to make the 25 minute drive home, shove down some dinner, grab my instrument, and drive 20 minutes to get there. It was crazy. Then the practices were 2 hours long, then 20 minutes to get back home. On Tuesday night I went to the Rangers v. Yankees game with Robert (that was a lot of fun!), and then Thursday night's dress rehearsal was 3 hours long. Anyways, despite my busy week, I have absolutely loved being in the musical. I have always wanted to play in the orchestra for a musical, but haven't had a chance. Sophomore year I could have at Martin, but I had that big recital so I didn't. Junior and Senior year were really disappointing because they didn't have a viola part so I couldn't. So I was really excited to finally be a part of one. The actors/actresses/singers in the musical are really good (which is surprising considering it's put on by a church. but they have all been musical theater majors and such). There are also some fun and talented musicians in the orchestra, some of which I already knew. Last night Robert was able to come to see it, this afternoon mom and dad are coming to see it, and then tonight Margaret and Brewer are coming. I'm so glad I have family and friends coming to all of the performances, because it's nice to have them there. I wish my sisters could have come, too! But with busy schedules and thousands of miles of distance, I guess it's understandable that they couldn't come. lol.

Busy schedules... oh... and I didn't even know you were doing it until yesterday! I'm glad you're having a good time, though. That sounds like fun.

What an incredible experience and what an honor that they asked you to be part of it. Is Dad recording it so I can watch it someday?
