Finals

Hey!
Wow, so the semester is officially over and finals are upon us. I only have 3 to go: Theory, Dictation, and Music Civilization. I had my jury on Friday morning and it went well. I'm excited to find out my grade (which will be sometime this week).

It's been snowing like crazy!! Friday night, Robert and I went to Salt Lake for a Utah Symphony concert (actually, it was an oratorio called Elijah). It's a funny story. We had looked into transportation the day before and were ok going on the bus to Sandy and Trax to Salt Lake City on the way there, but on the way back, there wasn't another bus going from Sandy to Provo, so we called Richard and Sheri and asked if they wanted to come. Richard said he made dinner reservations that night for Sheri's birthday, but they were in Salt Lake so he could take us home. The only problem was they were babysitting a little girl that weekend and needed to make sure their babysitter could stay longer. He said he'd call me back and let me know. Well, he didn't call me back before we left, but I figured that he would have called if there was a problem. So we got all ready to go and got on the bus, and just as it started moving, I asked Robert if he had the tickets. He had forgotten them! lol. I said I thought they would probably have record of him buying tickets, and that we'd probably be fine. The bus ride ended up taking an hour longer than expected because of bad traffic and accidents. We got on the train alright, and it was fine, but we got to the concert 30 minutes late! When we got there it was snowing a lot! We weren't at all prepared for it. Robert was just wearing a suit, and I had on some black dress pants, a sweater, and a jacket. It was so cold! So anyways, like I thought, the ticket thing wasn't an issue, but we couldn't go in until intermission (30 minutes later). The oratorio was really good, and it ended up lasting longer than they had said, so we missed the 10:39 train (it takes about 30 minutes for the train ride). Sheri said she would be waiting for us at 11 in Sandy to pick us up with the little girl in the car. We felt so bad. Well, because of traffic, Sheri ended up getting there right as our train pulled up, and she didn't have the little girl with her (she had gone to bed hours ago). We were surprised when we drove home that it was snowing even more in Provo. One of Robert's rommates guessed that we got about 8-10 inches of snow that night! It's been snowing on and off ever since and it is beautiful! If I have time today I'll post some pictures, but for now, I have to go to church! Love y'all!

I am so impressed that you didn't panic about not having your tickets. I know I would have. But then again I don't know when the last time was that I went to an oratio (sp?). Anyways, congrats on finishing your first semester, only 7 or so more to go. Enjoy your break!!! I wish I could be there with you.
