Finals

Well, I'm almost done with everything! It is so much easier to take finals than midterms, because you don't have any classes or practicing to worry about! The last two days of classes were a little stressful, but now I'm fine. I'm done with most of my finals and this is the first official day of finals (thank you music major). All I have left is my Music Civilization 2 final and my English group project (which counts as our final). The music civ. final will be a beast, but I have up to 4 or 5 days to study for it. It's also time to start packing/cleaning. Our RA told us to plan for about 10 hours to do so. Crazy! It's going to be kind of hard decided what to take home and what to leave here. 4 months is a long time, but I don't want to take more than I'll need. Anyways, I'm going to miss everyone here, especially because a lot of friends I've made (or already had) are going on their missions. Things will be way different in orchestra next year. Lots of people are graduating or going on missions. Half the viola section is leaving. It's so sad! I love everyone in there, and I'm really close with people in the viola section.
Oh goodness, I also still have to figure out my housing. That's turned into a nightmare. The place Jenna and I originally wanted to live is not working out. When we talked to them a few months ago they said they had to sell spring/summer contracts first, and that we would hear from them sometime between then and June to see if we'd get a spot. Not very comforting, but we thought we'd take a chance. Well, lately we've been getting really worried about it, so I tried calling and e-mailing, and they are terrible about getting back to me, and when they do they don't really answer my questions, so we've decided to give up on them...That means finding somewhere else. grr...Oh well. We'll get it figured out.
Sunday will be really sad too. We'll all get released in Sacrament meeting and then have a testimony meeting (which will more than likely take us overtime). It's kind of sad, but I'm better friends with the bishopric than the actual students in the ward. Our bishopric is so awesome.
Well, I guess I better go hit the books.

Well, Katie hearing that you are sad about leaving good friends is a good thing. It says a lot. That you got out there and made friends. Some students come home hating it because it is such a big school and they haven't made any friends. Good for you. Remember you do still have stuff at home, so don't be afraid to leave stuff there. Good luck with housing I hope you get it figured out soon. Be sure to make phone calls soon to Grandparents, aunts, uncles to make sure their schedules aren't too full to help move your stuff. Love you. Am so excited for this summer.

Finals, finals, finals....I am so glad that I don't have to take those right now. My philosophy on finals was always, if I don't know it by this point then oh well. I always did well so I guess it worked out okay but I just think it is ridiculous to spend hours and hours studying for a test that is supposed to assess how much you learned throughout the year, not how much you learned during the three hours that you studied for it. Anyways, you'll do great. I can't wait to see you next week!!!
