Well, yesterday was my last day working at Apple (until I come back home in December), and as has been common, I found saying goodbye to be more difficult than expected. We had a really good day at work, and it was the one day of work I wished wouldn't end. It went by too quickly. It wasn't really that hard leaving most everyone, because the office has changed so much and I'm not as close with some, but saying goodbye to Jennifer Garcia (the girl that was taking discussions) and Jennifer Li was terrible! I cried soo much. The two of them have been there since I started (and other than Dr. Rankine and Becky, whom I'm not friends with, they are the only two that have been there longer than I). We have had such wonderful times together. The way things are going, I'm not sure how much longer Jennifer G will stay at Apple. She's been going to school to become an architect, and she'll be finishing hopefully next May, so she's got bigger and better things to do. She also has had some hangups at Apple. But we both promised to e-mail and get together when I come back. It's so weird how close two people can be even though they are completely different in age, interests, backgrounds, and futures. I think all we had in common was Apple, opinions about certain things, and our love for ice cream, lol, but we've shared so many long, deep conversations and have had a lot of laughs and fun. I am so excited to leave and go to BYU, but of course it's always a hard transition when one door closes and another door opens. I seem to have only planted seeds for Jennifer, but she said I am the first Mormon she's known, so hopefully I had a good impact on her. Hopefully she will remember how I live my life and what my convictions are when someday two young men in suits come knocking at her door.
I look forward to going on a different kind of mission, as my sisters have told me, to help strengthen the current members of the church and to help encourage them to raise their standards. How can we expect to convert more people unto the Lord, when we as Latter Day Saints are not all completely converted? We have to buoy each other up and become more unified before we can face the world.

It's funny. I actually only worked at Apple for a total of a year, I think. But I have still kept in touch with a couple of the people there. When you spend so much time with people like that, you can create quite a connection.
I will never forget my experiences working at Apple. I also came to love so many wonderful people that I still think about and wonder what they are doing. One of my favorite hymns is...Each Life That Touches Ours for Good. There are so many people who have touched my life in a very significant way, even some who I knew for a very short time.
